Answer
When opening iQ-ROBOT configuration the Error Message "There were no writeable devices detected!" pops up.
This is often due to insufficient user rights. Please try to start the application as an administrator. You can either log on as an administrator or you right-click on the application and choose the "Run as"-Option and enter your administrator account data. Now iQ-ROBOT should be able to find all connected drives.
A easy way to start the application with administrative rights is to create a new shortcut on the desktop.
This shortcut uses the windows file "runas.exe" to start the iQ-ROBOT with an administrator account. Create the shortcut by following these steps:
1. Right-click on the Desktop
2. Go to New and choose New Shortcut
3. A new window opens asking for a target. Enter the following line:
%systemroot%\system32\runas.exe /user:COMPUTERNAME\ADMIN_ACCOUNT /savecred "C:\Program Files\iQ-ROBOT\Robot.exe"
COMPUTERNAME stands for the domain name or the name of the computer where the administrator is registered.
ADMIN_ACCOUNT is the name of the administrator user account.
The path at the end should point to the iQ-ROBOT executable
4. Click Next, rename the shortcut
5. Click finish to close the window
When you double-click the shortcut for the first time, you will be asked for the password of the user account. After that it won’t ask you again.
