Question

How can I avoid configuring the database each time I start iQ-RIS on Windows Vista or 7?

Answer

iQ-RIS saves the database connection details in the iQRis.ini file located in C:\Program Files\iQ-RIS\bin. Due to security reasons, Microsoft Windows Vista and 7 do not allow the normal user to write in the Program Files directory. You can either run the application as administrator each time you start it or grant the user full access to the iQ-RIS folder.


This will be changed in a future version.
