Question
Can iQ-VIEW handle large databases?
Answer
iQ-VIEW is a DICOM workstation and not a PACS/archive. It does only include a file-based database that cannot handle large volumes of studies and images. Neither can it share its local database with other iQ-VIEW station. The number of studies that can be displayed in iQ-VIEW is limited to 10.000. The integration of a database into iQ-VIEW is planned.
For central image storage and distribution we recommend the use of a PACS, such as iQ-WEBX. From there you can always retrieve needed studies/images and still have them available at all times at all stations.
