Performing digital measurements (e.g. distances, densities or angles) using a PACS plays an important role in daily diagnostic imaging and has a significant influence on patients' therapy plans. The aim of this study was to develop DICOM validation images using scientifically proven algorithms in order to validate PACS measurements. Users may enter values in the graphical user interface of the tool and create DICOM reference images. Those created DICOM files may be loaded into any PACS viewer for validation.
